Best Designer Bags under $1,500

Gucci Marmont Matelassé Mini Bag

Gucci Marmont Matelassé Mini Bag

A classic Gucci style, you can pick up the mini size in the Gucci Marmont bag for under US$1,500. It has a softly structured shape and a zip top closure, and is a great size for those days where you just need the essentials. Camera style bags are so easy to use, and this is one of the best designer crossbody bags I always recommend to people.

Saint Laurent Uptown Chain Wallet

Saint Laurent Uptown Chain Wallet

You probably already know I’m a fan of the quilted Saint Laurent wallet on chain – I talk about it in my post on the best designer bags to invest in. The YSL Uptown wallet has everything I love about my YSL WOC, but at a lower price point. This bag definitely deserves a spot on the list of best designer bags under $1500.

This is a bag that would go with almost anything, and is also a great designer evening bag. It has a removable chain strap, so you have the option of using it as a clutch. It also comes with a little card case, which you can use in any of your other bags. The grained leather on Saint Laurent bags is also nice and durable and easy to clean. I’ve had my YSL bags for years and they look almost brand new!

SAINT LAURENT SHOPPER TOTE

SAINT LAURENT SHOPPER TOTE BAG

Everyone needs a great tote bag in their lives! The YSL Shopper Tote is a classic, and I talk about it in my post on The Best Designer Work Bags to Invest In. This YSL tote is an understated and minimal tote bag that’s big enough to fit all your essentials, including a laptop.

If you’re after a practical, light and roomy bag, this Saint Laurent tote bag is definitely worth checking out. It also comes with a detachable pouch, perfect for housing your small essentials in. This tote would make a great every day work bag or an in-flight carry-on.

Gucci Soho Disco Bag

Another Gucci bag under $1,500, the Gucci Soho Disco bag has been around for years, and it’s still a great designer crossbody bag that I recommend. It fits so much for a small bag, so it’s a great everyday bag for when you’re running errands. If you’re in the market for a casual designer bag, add this one to your list!

3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli mini satchel bag

3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli mini satchel bag

When I think of 3.1 Phillip Lim bags, the Pashli always comes to mind. It’s the first Phillip Lim bag I owned, and it’s still one of my favourite styles from the brand today. This is a great mini bag that still fits all your everyday essentials.

I’ve had my Pashli bags for years and they still look almost new. The leather is so durable and I love the edgy look this bag has.

The mini Pashli is a great bag because it’s small enough to be worn crossbody, whilst still fitting a decent amount. I love that it has a top handle too, super handy! It’s definitely on the heavier side though which is something to keep in mind.

Mansur Gavriel Mini Bucket Bag

Mansur Gavriel Mini Bucket Bag

This is one of the newest bags in my collection, and I had forgotten how practical a good bucket bag was! This Mansur Gavriel bag fits so much – check out my Instagram reel for what can fit inside.

This classic Mansur Gavriel bucket bag is crafted from rich leather that’s quite durable, and lined with the brand’s signature contrast red lining. It has an adjustable shoulder strap so you can create your perfect strap length.

These Mansur Gavriel bucket bags come in 3 different sizes, the Mini being the middle size. For me personally, the Mini size is definitely big enough to fit what I need. It’s a classic and practical designer bag for under $1,000.

Chloé Marcie mini shoulder bag

Another great casual designer bag option is the Chloé’s Marcie bag. It’s a classic style that’s been around since 2009, and is one of the brand’s most iconic bags.

The Marcie bags feature textured leather with equestrian-inspired stitching, gold hardware and a pocketed interior. They’re small enough to be worn crossbody but still have enough space for your essentials. The shoulder strap is adjustable to your desired height.

Strathberry East/West Bag

Strathberry East/West Bag

Strathberry bags are so understated and classic, and the quality is lovely. The brand makes such timeless styles that are so well made.  The East/West Bag is one of my favourite styles from Strathberry and it’s a great designer bag under $1500.

This Strathberry bag has a structured silhouette and the signature Strathberry bar closure. It has two compartments and one interior pocket, along with a dual length chain shoulder strap. Made in Spain using the finest calf leather and microfibre lining with a suede like finish. Keep an eye out for some of the limited edition seasonal colour ways, they’re beautiful!

This bag comes in multiple colours and two sizes – the regular East/West bag and the East/West Mini. I have one of each of the sizes and can recommend them both, it just depends how much you want to be able to carry with you. Check out my Instagram reel for what can fit inside the regular size.

I hope this post helped put some great designer bags under $1500 on your radar! Feel free to leave me a comment over on my Instagram if you have any bag questions.
