10 Best Moisturisers for Dry Skin

Best Moisturisers for Dry Skin

Whilst dry skin types sometimes need that extra bit of love, a good moisturiser will fast become your best friend! Whether your skin is dry all year round or just in the cooler winter months, keep reading for my edit of the best moisturisers for dry skin. Tried and tested, these will deeply hydrate and nourish, helping your skin to get it’s glow back!

Dry skin tip: Mix in an oil (I love these ones) if you need that extra bit of hydration, and use a face mask weekly for even softer, smoother skin.

Best Moisturisers for Dry Skin

Sisley Paris Black Rose Skin Infusion Cream

Sisley is one of my all-time favourite brands for skincare (their Black Rose Cream Mask, also perfect for dry skin, works wonders!). This cream is amazing for replumping and giving radiance back to the complexion. Black Rose aqueous extract helps to smooth the skin whilst Hibiscus flower extract helps to increase the complexion’s radiance.

L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream

Formulated with a high concentration of immortelle essential oil (which contains 2x more anti-oxidant than Vitamin E), this luxurious face cream will help to fight against visible signs of ageing. It also contains Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate and plump, and Vitamin C to brighten. This feels so nourishing and hydrating and it always leaves me with soft, smooth skin.

Aspect SMC moisturiser

Guinot Crème Hydra Summum

Beautifully hydrating, this moisturiser will help to fight against fine lines whilst brightening the skin. Guinot’s Hydralogic Complex consists of Aquasilanol, to reinforce the structure of the skin barrier, and hyaluronic acid, which enables the skin to increase its water storage capacity, keeping skin hydrated for longer.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

This has been a cult product for dry skin types for years. It’s one of the more affordable options, and a great quick fix for dry skin as it helps draw and absorb moisture from the air.

SK-II RNA Power Face Cream

I really love SK-II skincare and this moisturiser was no exception (read about some other favourites here and here)! It features their R.N.A formula, which helps to nourish dry areas of the skin, along with smooth fine lines and firm the skin.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream

Whilst Bobbi Brown is mostly known for their makeup products, their skincare is definitely worth a try (check out some of my other favourites here)! This moisturiser is rich yet lightweight and it instantly melts into the skin to hydrate and nourish. Bobbi Brown also make a Hydrating Intense Night Cream if your skin needs that bit of extra hydration.

Aspect SMC

This rich moisturiser is especially suited for dry, dehydrated and mature skin types, and is enriched with Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium PCA, Peptides, Oil soluble Vitamin C and so many other nutrients that work wonders on dry skin and protect against free radical damage.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask

This overnight mask is a great addition to any skincare routine, particularly during the colder winter months. I use it twice a week in winter layered over moisturiser, for that added boost of hydration.

Laneige Water Sleeping Mask Best Moisturisers

Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Precious Cream

Formulated with cutting-edge plant biotechnology, this moisturising cream contains six rose plant stem cells and six rose extracts to help improve the look of skin. Triple Moisture Complex works to provide deep hydration, leaving skin looking healthy and radiant. If you love rose scents you will love this one!

Murad Hydro Dynamic Ultimate Moisture

A good option if you’re not into anything heavy but still want hydration; this light lightweight cream easily absorbs into the skin to provide 24-hour hydration. Advanced Hyaluronic Acid technology allows the skin to attract and retain water deep within its surface, whilst Coconut Extract provides superior moisture retention, helping to give the skin a smoother texture. It’s also packed with shea Butter, avocado, sunflower and olive fruit oils which the condition skin and help to support the skin’s natural protective barrier.

Even though I don’t have dry skin, the Laneige Water Sleeping Mask works wonders for me and always leaves my skin feeling ultra hydrated when I wake up in the morning. I make sure to take it with me whenever I travel! I’ve heard only fabulous things about the Bobbie Brown Moisturizer and have been wanting to try it out. I think this is a good push for me to do so. Have a wonderful weekend :)
