Villa Senang, Bali: A Tropical Paradise

Villa Senang, Bali: A Tropical Paradise

Does relaxing in a day bed amongst a tropical garden overlooking a crystal clear two-tier pool sound like paradise to you too? If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you would have seen that this was my reality over the past week as I’ve been recharging and relaxing in the beautiful Villa Senang in Bali.

The Location

The last few times I visited Bali I stayed in Seminyak, so on this trip I was keen to explore other areas on the island. Villa Senang is located in Batubelig; and while it’s only a ten minute drive away from the heart of Seminyak, it has a completely different vibe.

When you’re not relaxing in the villa and if you don’t feel like heading into nearby Seminyak, take a short short stroll to Batu Belig Beach or feast at some of the nearby restaurants (Watercress Café is a 2 minute walk and Kynd Community is a 15 minute walk away). All in all, Batubelig is the perfect location for those who want to be close to convenience, but also want to be able to retreat to somewhere peaceful and relaxing.

The Grounds

The serenity of Batubelig is as strong as ever within the grounds of Villa Senang itself. Four separate villa suites are scattered around a tropical garden and joined by a pool, making it the perfect accommodation for a getaway with family or friends. Each bedroom has a sense of privacy so you’ll feel like you’re the only ones in the world – but you can come together in the communal areas when you feel like it.

A highlight of Villa Senang was definitely the stunning multi-level swimming pool, where I happily spent most of my time! The pool is the central element of Villa Senang which brings together the four separate villas as a stunning center piece and communal area. It’s surrounded by sunbeds and lounges shaded by Balinese parasols, so you can easily spend an entire day lazing around the pool.

The Villa

Villa Senang has every modern luxury you can think of, while still having that charming Bali vibe. It was styled to perfection with Indonesian antiques which added to the overall sense of authenticity.

You could be tempted never to leave your villa at all during your stay! Breakfast is cooked daily in the fully-equipped kitchen, and served in the beautiful open-plan living room. One of the things I always look forward to when I’m on holiday is an amazing massage (or in this case, a few)! Luckily, Villa Senang has masseuses on hand for in-house massages by the pool or in the bedroom.

Where to stay in Seminyak, Bali

The villa comes with four deluxe bedroom suites to choose from, each equally as charming and all are complete with an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a flat screen TV. We slept in the master bedroom, waking up to views of the garden and pool each morning. The en-suite featured a step-up bathtub and rain shower in an outdoor tropical garden setting. Is there anything more relaxing than reading a good book in the bath with the stars lighting up the sky? We think not!

I stumbled upon Villa Senang via Villa-Bali.com, which has an abundance of beautiful villa options. If you’re travelling to Bali with a group of family or friends and want a relaxing stay whilst still being a stone’s throw away from Seminyak, Villa Senang is an amazing option. I’ll definitely be back!
