If you’re in Australia like me, winter is well and truely among us (seriously, how much harder is it to get up in the morning now?). Our skin needs that bit of extra love during the colder months and I’ve put together a list of some of the best skincare products on the market that are perfect for the winter weather.
Sisley Black Rose Precious Face Oil ($260): Seriously, can we talk about this oil? I’m a long-time lover of the Black Rose Cream Mask from Sisley so I was too excited to try this oil out. This oil has a high concentration of active ingredients and leaves skin feeling nourished and rejuvenated. My skin just feels so soft and hydrated after using this.
Verso Intense Facial Mask ($112): A hydrating face mask is a must for winter. These masks provide deep hydration to skin whilst working to reverse the signs of ageing. After using one of these my skin feels so much more hydrated and refreshed. These are formulated with Retinol 8 to help stimulate skin’s own production of collagen.
SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum ($396): This 2 in 1 growth factor and antioxidant serum helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and protect the skin from UV damage. Although on the pricer side, a little bit of this definitely goes a long way. This hydrates and firms the skin whilst evening out skin tone, and works best applied straight after cleansing and before moisturiser. I always give this a few minutes to sink into the skin before applying moisturiser.
Goldfaden MD Fleuressence ($194): Seriously amazing, this potent blend of active botanicals, fruit extracts and natural oils is a dream for dry and aging skin. It works to restore hydration whilst evening skin tone, and always leaves my skin looking radiant and glowing. Although this is an oil, it skins into the skin really nicely and doesn’t leave an overly oily feel to the skin like some oils can. A must-have for plump, luminous skin.
By Terry Baume de Rose SPF15 ($86): My holy-grail lip protector, this Baume de Rose provides intense protection while smoothing and regenerating the lips. It leaves my lips feeling soft and smooth and with a nice shine. This isn’t sticky and has a lovely rose scent.
Dauphin Exquisage Cream ($133): Velvety soft, this moisturiser reinvigorates skin with hydration. It doesn’t feel heavy on the skin so is great for both day and night. This cream is formulated with a breakthrough complex and skin strengthening probiotics, and works to improve elasticity and firm the skin.
Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II ($140): This is an amazing serum for fighting signs of ageing and it definiltey gives me more radiant looking skin. Apply in the evenings before moisturiser to wake up to super soft skin.
Clinique Moisture Surge Intense ($60): This rich, oil-free cream rehydrates and plumps skin whilst helping to repair skin’s moisture barrier over time. This leaves my skin feeling insanely soft and hydrated.
Kerstin Florian Brightening Body Scrub ($99): There’s nothing like a good body scrub to transform dull, dry skin during winter. Exfoliating Bamboo, Jojoba beadlets and stimulating fruit enzymes polish and refine while rich emollients hydrate and protect. This scrub instantly invigorates and softens the skin.
Sisley Comfort Extreme Hand Cream ($115): Let’s not forget about those hands during the winter months! This hand cream from Sisley provides that extra bit of nourishment and protection for dry hands. Blended with Shea butter and sunflower oil, it hydrates and repairs leaving you with soft hands and stronger nails.
Mesoestetic Hydra-Vital Factor K ($129): Amazing for dry skin, this ultra moisturising cream helps restore moisture and elasticity to skin. It maintains the inner layer of the skin with deeply moisturising action, and restores the hydrolipidic layer.
Medik8 Hydr8 Night Eye Cream ($89): I opt for a heavier eye cream for winter, and this one by Medik8 is perfect for providing hydration to the delicate eye area. It has been blended with vitamin A (retinol), an ingredient known for its anti-ageing benefits.
Kerstin Florian Rejuvenating 24-Hour Moisture Creme ($129): A go-to for nourished, glowing skin. Formulated with high-performance botanicals, this moisturiser is rich in antioxidants and improves skin tone whilst increasing elasticity of the skin.
