Best Designer Bags Under $2,000

GUCCI DIONYSUS MINI CHAIN BAG

The Dionysus is a style from Gucci I still really love and I talk about it in my post on the Best Designer Crossbody Bags to Invest In. Crossbody bags are probably my favourite style of bags to use. Being hands-free makes them so practical and easy. If you’re into the slightly edgy hardware definitely check this bag out.

The Dionysus has amazing hardware and comes in a great size range, so there’s a size that will suit every outfit, from evening wear through to those days in the office. This one is my newest Gucci purchase and I have an unboxing of it over on my Instagram TV. This is definitely a bag for those times where you don’t need to carry much with you though as it doesn’t fit a whole lot. I go through what can fit inside over on my Instagram TV.

CHLOE DREW MINI BAG

The Chloe Drew bag is such a great little crossbody bag for the day time, and they now come in so many different finishes and styles. The leather is a bit softer so I wouldn’t say it’s as durable as the Saint Laurent bag mentioned below, but I think it’s such a classic style that’s easy to pair with a lot of outfits.

Because the leather is softer, it is a bit easier to pack it full with all your essentials than some of the other bags that have coated leather finishes and can be stiffer. I go through exactly what can fit inside this Chloe Drew bag over on my Instagram ‘Bag’ story highlights.

SAINT LAURENT WALLET ON CHAIN BAG

The Saint Laurent Wallet on Chain was one of my first designer purchases and I talk about it in my post on the Best Designer Crossbody Bags to Invest In. What I love about it is that it can definitely be an evening bag as well as a daytime bag, and the chain detaches so you have the option of using it as a clutch for those more formal events.

The leather is also very durable and can easily be wiped clean if it does get dirty. I’ve had mine for years and it still looks almost as good as new – it’s a piece that will definitely last you for a long time! I have an IGTV video on what fits inside the YSL Chain Wallet here.

SAINT LAURENT SHOPPER TOTE

I talk about this bag in my post on The Best Designer Work Bags to Invest In. It’s a great minimal and understated tote bag that will fit all your work essentials, from a laptop to a pair of shoes and a makeup bag. Tote bags are great because they’re so practical, light and spacious.

Made from black textured-leather, this bag also comes with a detachable pouch to keep your coins or small essentials in. A great every day work bag or an in-flight carry-on. If you’re not a fan of one single compartment, try an organiser (I love the ones from Samorga).

Gucci Marmont Matelassé Mini Bag

The Gucci Marmont bags are such beautiful styles, and there are quite a few options under $2,000. The mini size has a softly structured shape and a zip top closure, and is a great little size for everyday!

It’s more of a casual style though, so if you’re wanting something you can wear day and night I would go with the YSL Wallet on chain mentioned above.

LOUIS VUITTON NEVERFULL

A classic tote bag from Louis Vuitton, the Neverfull is spacious and sturdy, perfect for fitting all your work essentials in. Camera bags are such a great shape for everyday use – small enough to wear crossbody but big enough to fit all your essentials for the day. This bag is a well-loved style from Saint Laurent and has an adjustable strap and removable tassel.

Gucci Soho Disco Bag

This is such a classic style from Gucci that a lot of people still love today! The leather is quite soft, which means it’s easier to fit more into this bag, but it does also mean it may lose its shape quicker than some of the other bags in this list. None the less, this is a really nice option if you’re looking for a designer bag under $2,000. It’s definitely more of a casual style though, so if you’re wanting something you can wear day and night I would go with the YSL Wallet on chain mentioned above.
