Where To Stay In Tokyo

Where To Stay In Tokyo ANA InterContinental Tokyo

If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know I recently visited Japan. My first stop was the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. Tokyo is such an amazing city with so many different areas to visit, so it can definitely be overwhelming when choosing somewhere to stay.

In such a large and busy city, location is everything when considering where to stay in Tokyo. During my trip I stayed at ANA InterContinental Tokyo, which is situated near Akasaka, Ginza, Kasumigasek, and Roppongi. It’s a convenient one minute walk away from a Metro station (Tameike-sanno station), which will easily allow you to get to places like Shibuya (go here for Yoyogi Park, Meiji Jingu Shrine, and the Harajuku district) and Ginza (great for luxury shopping and amazing food), two of my favourite areas.

When the weather is nice and you feel like a walk, head north to the Imperial Palace. ANA InterContinental Tokyo is within walking distance of Chidorigafuchi park, which boasts some of the most stunning cherry blossom spots during the sakura season. Head down to the moat surrounding the palace and rent a row boat. Have your camera ready for some amazing photos, and be sure to take a friend/ Instagram husband to do all the paddling whilst you snap some shots!

At the end of each day I always try to allow some time to relax back at the hotel and unwind from the days activities. ANA InterContinental Tokyo blends contemporary design and modern facilities with subtle Japanese influences. The rooms are a great size (which can be hard to find in Tokyo!) and the service was second to none. I recommend heading down to Cascade Café where the buffet breakfast is to die for. They have something for everyone with both Japanese and Western style offerings that kept us going pretty much all day.

There is so much to discover in this amazing city and I can’t wait to be back. Until next time, Tokyo!

Looks like such a fabulous stay at the Intercontinental! Love a solid breakfast served in best, that’s really the cherry on top right? :) And thanks for recommending where to shop and have fun in Tokyo; I’m going there later this year so can’t wait to check out Harajuku and Ginza and the Palace too! xo~ Lena

    I love Toyko.
I go every year – I speak Japanese.
I stay at the Sunroute when I want cheap and I love the Conrad and the Ritz when I want a bit of the splurge at the end of the trip…
