May Beauty Favourites

Some new products I picked up this month and can’t get enough of.

Benefit Cheekathon Palette ($98): I love Benefit’s blushes and bronzers and this new palette is such a great way to try out a good selection of them (or just have all your favourites in one place!). This palette is such great value as it contains 5 full size shades (Dandelion, Hoola, Rockateur, Dallas and CORALista) for $98, as opposed to buying them individually at $51. I use the Hoola Bronzing and Countouring Brush with the bronzers for a quick and natural contour (and let’s be real here I would buy this just to look at it… it’s stunning!).

Artis Fluenta 5 Brush Set ($310) & Fluenta Oval 10 Brush ($140): I only came across Artis brushes recently but am completely in love with them. The 5 brush set and Oval 10 brush are now some of my most reached for brushes. The 5 Set includes the Oval 6, which is perfect for contouring, the Oval 4 and Oval 3 which are great for eye makeup (the Oval 4 is also great for blending out concealer under the eyes), the Linear 1, which I use for a quick and natural brow, and the Circle 1, for applying concealer to small areas. At first I thought the Oval 10 would be too big to use for foundation (there’s an Oval 8 I also had my eye on) but it works really well and cuts down the time I spend applying foundation dramatically. It’s seriously so quick to apply foundation with and gives an even finish every time. These brushes are best used with a light, gliding motion rather than patting product into the skin. I also picked up the Brush Cleaning Pad which is an antimicrobial microfiber cloth for cleaning the brushes. I wipe my brushes over this after each use to help keep them clean.

Becca Afterglow Palette ($70): Another amazing blush palette, the Afterglow Palette from Becca is up there with one of my all-time favourite cheek palettes. This beauty contains a mix of five best selling blushes and highlighters. It contains three Shimmering Skin Perfectors in Moonstone, Rose Gold and Topaz, and two mineral blushes in Wild Honey and Flowerchild. In love!

Elizabeth Arden Sunset Bronze Collection Review

Elizabeth Arden Sunset Bronze Collection: The new Sunset Bronze collection form Elizabeth Arden isn’t one to be missed. I’m currently obsessing over the Prismatic Bronzing Powder ($45), which is diffused with golden shimmer to give skin a healthy glow, even long after the summer months are gone. The Prismatic Eye Shadow Palette ($50) contains five gorgeous shades that have great pigmentation and wear well throughout the day. Mica Based Pearls reflect light and give a beautiful multidimensional effect. The Sunset Bronze Prismatic Lip Gloss ($34) is available in three shades and provide a high shine finish with their lustrous pigments and multidimensional pearls. These are quite glittery so great for anyone looking for shine with a touch of colour. Perfect on their own or over a lipstick. The Sunset Bronze collection will be on counters July 2016.

Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue ($49): I’m a big fan of the original Porefessional so I had to get my hands on this matte version. This baby will leave you with insanely smooth skin and less shine. For anyone like me who can get oily skin throughout the day, this will help keep you matte that extra bit longer.

Becca Mineral Blush ($50): Another much-loved product from Becca, these mineral blushes have great pigmentation with buidlable colour. They’re enriched with micro-fine minerals and antioxidant vitamins to leave skin looking naturally flushed.

Benefit Hoola Allover Body Bronzer ($52)Dew the Hoola Matte Liquid Bronzer ($49)Anyone else have  bit of a Benefit Hoola obsession? I’m loving these liquid Hoola products for face and body that give my skin a bronzed glow, even during winter. The Allover Body Bronzer can be used hands free with the built in applicator, which means a mess free application. The colour is buildable and perfect for an instant tan or to enhance an existing tan. The Liquid Bronzer for face is also super blendable and gives an amazing bronze colour with a soft matte finish.

Gorgeous favourites! I was so tempted by the Benefit Cheekathon palette since it’s such amazing value but I couldn’t justify it since I already have so many blushes! Same goes for the Becca Afterglow palette haha :P
