6 of the Best Face Moisturisers

Best face moisturisers 2016

On the hunt for that amazing face moisturiser to hydrate, plump and revitalise your skin? Tried and tested (and I went through a lot, trust me!), below is a round up of six of the best face moisturisers.

Sisleÿa L'Intégral Anti-Âge Review

Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge ($550)

The newest of the bunch, Sisley’s Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge is a dream to use. It’s super hydrating without being too heavy and has definiltey become a new favourite of mine. This moisturiser has been designed to fight the visible signs of ageing associated with three dimensions of ageing, being genetic, environmental and for the first time, behavioural. Scientific advances have shown that personal lifestyle (pace of life and stress) have an even greater influence on skin ageing than genetically programmed ageing, and the new Sisleÿa L’Intégral Anti-Âge directly targets the cell’s lifecycle to fight against this. Lindera extract helps to resynchronise the skin’s biorhythms while Persian Acacia extract promotes optimal energy production and protects against and repairs skin damage caused by cellular fatigue.

Elemis Pro-Intense Lift Effect Day Cream Review

Elemis Pro-Intense Lift Effect Day Cream ($235)

A long standing favourite of mine (along with the rest of the Pro-Intense rage from Elemis), this day cream combines powerful, hi-tech plant stem cells and arjuna bark extract to tighten and plump, helping to restore the look of skin’s vitality. This moisturiser just sits so nicely on my skin and I love the consistency of it; it’s hydrating enough without being heavy. It leaves me with an even skin tone and smooth, hydrated skin.

La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold Review

La Prairie Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold  ($630)

La Prairie’s Cellular Radiance Perfecting Fluide Pure Gold is a lightweight, matte-finish, gold-infused moisturising fluide. It’s beautifully lightweight yet leaves skin hydrated and smooth while improving skin texture. As this is quite lightweight I’ll apply it over a moisturiser if I want that extra bit of added hydration. Being gold-inflused, it diffuses light and leaves skin glowing. This moisturising fluide enhances skin’s firmness, while promoting an even complexion and continuously refining and smoothing skin’s texture.

Olay Total Effects Day Cream SPF 15 Review

Olay Total Effects Day Cream SPF 15 ($32.99)

Another long-standing favourite of mine, I’ve been using the Olay Total Effects range for years and it’s always worked so well on my skin. The total effects range fights seven signs of ageing with its unique VitaNiacin Complex. VitaNiacin Complex, with Vitamins E, B5 and B3, exfoliates to enhance skin’s natural self-renewal process for healthier-looking skin.

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Review

Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation ($55)

This oil-free cream is beautifully lightweight and silky, and works to fade discolourations without the use of chemicals. Actiwhite and liquorice help to prevent and correct any discolouration whilst Vitamin C stimulates collagen production. This moisturiser makes my skin look so healthy and works really well in evening out skin tone.

IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream Review

IT Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream (US$48)

Great for all skin types, Confidence in a Cream works to deeply hydrate skin, restoring radiance and reducing the look of pores, uneven texture and discolouration. Developed with plastic surgeons, this revolutionary moisturiser nourishes your skin with collagen, hyaluronic acid, peptides, ceramides, antioxidants and colloidal oatmeal. Confidence in a Cream helps to minimise the appearance of fine lines while improving the texture of your skin and delivering the ideal amount of moisture.

That La Prairie moisturiser sounds so intriguing and also the fact that it’s a matte moisturiser is a big plus too.
